When I was a junior in college, a family friend called my older brother to see if he wanted a summer internship at Kidder Peabody in Philadelphia. My brother was graduating and politely declined because he already had a job lined up. It took me about ten minutes to muster up the courage to call that friend back and ask if I could have the internship – the rest is history.
I have spent 30 years in the financial industry with various firms and in various cities. In the summer of 2009 I was looking for a change and came across a job posting for a small family practice looking for someone to help administratively. I was hired that fall and have never been happier.
